Allegheny County Department of Public Works faces a daunting
task. They must mange over 540 bridges and culverts most of which are over
50 years old. InspectTech created a system for use by the County
and it's many consultants. Both the consultant inspectors
and county managers can now save significant time and improve
reliability.

Here is the main GIS interaction page.
The map is fully interactive, allowing the user to zoom
in and out as well as Pan around. Bridge can be clicked
on to take the user directly to the bridge information page.
The county map is shown with colors representing elevation.
State roads and minor roads become visible as the user zooms
in. |

This is a partial view of the bridge
detail page. It includes basic information on the bridge:
year constructed, length, road carried, etc. The page also
has links to all of the inspection reports, historical items
such as work orders or notes, maintenance needs and even
bridge diagrams and pictures.

 |
|
 |
| All of the maintenance needs from
the inspection reports are available on a handy report.
Estimates can be developed by assigning average dollar values
to each unit. Totals are calculate for each bridge and all
bridges. Maintenance needs can be sorted based on priority. |
|
A simple Inspection Scheduling module
lets the user see what bridges need to be inspected next.
Bridges can be sorted by name, last inspection date, frequency,
next inspection date, and even the inspector. |
