Federal
United States Fish and Wildlife Service:
The United States Fish and Wildlife Service maintains one of the most diverse bridge populations of all US bridge owners. It maintains over 750 bridges located across all United States Refuges in nearly every state: from Alaska to Puerto Rico. InspectTech provides the Fish and Wildlife Service and their bridge inspection consultants with software to conduct inspections and manage all of its bridges and culverts. As with the other systems the software is composed of both a laptop/tablet component for use in the field and a web-based management component. The software directly integrates with FHWA NBI files and its Edit/Update program.

State DOT
Indiana Department of Transportation:
When the state of Indiana needed a new software system to inspect and manage all of the data on over 18,000 bridges (~6,000 state and ~12,000 local) they selected InspectTech via a competitive RFP process at end of 2007 and begin work in early 2008. InspectTech has utilized its core proprietary software to integrate all of the past bridge data (NBI and numerous custom databases) into one easy to use comprehensive system. This .NET based software allows inspections to be performed in the field and uploaded seamlessly to the central software hosted on INDOT’s own computers. In addition to the field-based inspection system, users can access the online inspection and management system securely via web-browsers from any office or home based computer. A variety of roles and permission levels exist in the system to allow various INDOT personnel in the district and central offices as well as consultants to have the appropriate permissions. Users can construct simple to complex queries across any inventory or inspection field in the database with results being returned in table, Excel, or interactive map format.

Transit
Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (DC Metro):
The DC Metro system is one of the world’s premier subway systems. InspectTech provides complete structure inspection and management software that the system uses on all of its structures for over 20 miles of aerials (bridges) to other items such as tunnels, stations, parking decks, retaining walls, and major support shafts. DC Metro has implemented a detailed and complex system that allows for extensive management capabilities. As part of the implementation process with InspectTech the system converted from an older 5 point ratings scale to the FHWA NBI 0-9/N scale. InspectTech manages all of the data on all of the structures in its flexible database system.

Toll Authority
New Jersey Turnpike Authority:
The New Jersey Turnpike Authority operates both the NJ Turnpike and Garden State Parkway; two of the world’s busiest roadways. It maintains over 1,000 bridges ranging from major structures of several thousand feet to a wide inventory of 4-5 span overpasses. An extensive bridge management and inspection system was developed for the Authority. The system allows for the collection of NBI, Pontis/Element Level Data, and numerous custom fields. The software allows for the direct import and export of data from the NJDOT’s Pontis system via a standard defined PDI file. The software allows for a detailed maintenance prioritizing by key bridge elements. This system takes into account different element level metrics to make recommendations on major components including: bridge decks, bearings, joints, coatings/paint, and substructure/piers.

County
Montgomery County, Maryland:
InspectTech operates numerous bridge inspection and management systems for counties and cities. One of these customers is Montgomery County, Maryland which maintains over 300 bridges on its county road network for its county population of nearly one million people. Even though the county is located directly outside of Washington, DC its roadway network includes bridges in protected rural areas as well as those on heavily travelled urban routes. InspectTech’s software allows for the County’s consultants to collect NBI, Pontis/Element Level Data, and Maryland State Highway specific fields. All of this information can be seamlessly transferred to Maryland State Highway via the software. The county also is able to use the data to prioritize needs including detailed paint priorities. With automatic change reports built-in the system is designed to catch deficiencies as they start to occur to allow them to be addressed in quick cost efficient manner.
